Pakistani prominent Kashmir separatism activist and one of the founders of the pro-independence militant activist group Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front that led a violent campaign for independent Kashmir, including the killing of an Indian diplomat in the United Kingdom in the mid-1980's and hijacking of an Indian Airlines plane to Lahore, Pakistan who was believed to have been the mastermind in the kidnapping and assassination of second-ranking official Ravindra Mhatre in the Indian Consulate in Birmingham, England in 1984 under his leadership and became the chief architect of violent separatist movement in the former Indian-administered princely state of Kashmir and Jammu.
