Summary: French pilot for the Tripoli-based airline company Buraq Air stationed at Mitiga International Airport (MJI) in Libya
who was among one of 10 known fatalities reportedly shot and killed in a January 27 terrorist attack at the luxury Corinthia Hotel in the Libyan capital city when an estimated five heavily-armed gunmen stormed past the local guard into the hotel lobby and randomly shot at staff and guests before a car bomb was detonated inside a parking garage during the attack, which was carried out by ISIS-affiliated militants belonging to the "Islamic State-Tripoli Province" in an act of revenge for the January 2 death of Libyan al-Qaeda operative Abu Anas al-Libi while under indictment in the United States for his involvement in the bombing of two American embassies in 1998.
