Summary:
Lebanese senior Hezbollah militant leader and convicted murderer who had spent nearly three decades in an Israeli prison after he took part in one of the most notorious terrorist attacks in the country's history for the 1979 kidnapping and grisly murders of an Israeli man named Danny Haran and his 4-year-old daughter Einat in the coastal town of Nahariya near the Lebanese border while he was a member of the Palestinian Liberation Front militant group as a 16-year-old at the time, but who was awarded the Syrian Order of Merit medal by Syrian president Bashar Assad and received a hero's welcome in Lebanon after his release from prison as part of the 2008 Israel-Hezbollah prisoner exchange.
