Bangladeshi politician and convicted war criminal who was a seven-term member of the Jatiyo Sangshad parliament and served as the adviser of parliamentary affairs to prime minister Khaleda Zia from 2001 to 2006, but who was convicted and sentenced to death by the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh in October 2013 for crimes against humanity including torture, murder and genocide during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
