Summary: Nicaraguan-born American prison activist and notorious member of the 'San Quentin Six' prison break gang who was part of a group of inmates that were accused of participating in an August 21, 1971 escape attempt that left six people dead including Black Guerilla Family founder and prison gang leader George Jackson during an infamous uprising at San Quentin State Prison while he was serving a life sentence for a rape charge in San Francisco as well as three others for offenses committed while in a Soledad, Calif. prison at the time, but who was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole for the second time in September 1976 after he had been convicted of assaulting two guards during the escape attempt and was once called by his captors "the most dangerous man in the California prison system".
