Canadian-Israeli rabbi and service coordinator at the Kehilat Bnei Torah synagogue in Jerusalem, Israel who was hospitalized in critical condition for 11 months after having spent nearly a year in a vegetative coma due to multiple cleaver wounds to the face and head from the devastating injuries he suffered in the November 2014 Har Nof synagogue massacre that killed four prominent rabbis and an Israeli policeman when two Palestinian terrorists stormed into a Jerusalem synagogue attacking worshipers with guns, knives and meat cleavers during an early morning prayer, but who sustained permanent neurological damage from his massive head injuries and has been in a number of long-term care facilities since being wounded in the terrorist attack.
