who was reportedly hospitalized in critical condition from injuries he received in the April 25 Nepal earthquake that killed more than 8,800 people and injured over 23,000 others during a series of major aftershocks, which also triggered multiple avalanches on Mount Everest and in Langtang valley with the death toll that continues to rise while he was working on a Chinese documentary in the Everest's South Base Camp area when the 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Himalayan country.
