Summary: Tony-winning character actress who built a career playing character roles in films, but was perhaps best known for playing the mother of Dustin Hoffman's character in 1967's The Graduate and the character Roz in the 1980 movie 9 to 5, who won her Tony for playing Harriet in the 1972 Broadway production of the play Sticks & Bones and also appeared in The Birds, Catch-22, and Regarding Henry and had numerous roles on stage and TV.
