Summary: Moroccan international football (soccer) midfield player who was the captain of the national soccer squad at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan and at the 1970 FIFA World Cup finals in Mexico, who later became the president of the Moroccan Football Federation and organized the 1988 African Cup of Nations in Morocco following his player career, and who was also selected by the Confederation of African Football in 2006 as one of the best 200 African football players of the last 50 years.
