who was among one of 14 known fatalities reportedly shot and killed in a May 13 terrorist attack and hostage-taking crisis that also wounded at least six other civilians when three gunmen stormed the restaurant of the Park Palace Guest House and Hotel in downtown Kabul, Afghanistan sparking an hours-long standoff with Afghan security forces after an overnight siege at the guesthouse, where a garden party was being hosted in honour of a Canadian national during a concert performance by well-known Afghan classical singer Ustad Eltaf Hussein, in which the attack is believed to be part of the Taliban's annual spring offensive against NATO's presence in Afghanistan targeting foreigners in what U.S. and other officials called the "Kabul Attack Network".
