Summary: accountant and general director of the Kentucky Opera since 2006 who had nurtured artists and brought seldom-seen works to town and established the company's Composer Workshop Series, which gave contemporary composers including Daron Hagen, Jake Heggie, Paul Moravec and librettists the opportunity to develop their works in Louisville, and who was also credited for bringing American operas to the Kentucky Opera stage, including the 2009 production of Carlisle Floyd's opera Of Mice and Men based on John Steinbeck's novel of the same name.
