Summary: Israeli Druze police officer who had been reportedly hospitalized in very critical condition from gunshot wounds to the head suffered in a horrific November 18 Jerusalem synagogue terrorist attack and massacre that killed four prominent rabbis including three U.S.-Israeli citizens and also wounded eight other people when two Palestinian men entered the Kehilat Bnei Torah synagogue in Jerusalem's Har Nof neighborhood and attacked the worshippers with axes, butcher knives, and a handgun during the weekday morning prayer while he was among one of the first responding police officers who arrived on the scene and exchanged fire with the assailants during the ensuing gun battle at the synagogue's entrance, in which the radical left-wing militant organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for the rampage and it became the deadliest terror attack in Jerusalem since the Mercaz HaRav massacre in March 2008.
