Summary: Sierra Leonean senior physician and chief virologist considered as one of Sierra Leone's top viral haemorrhagic fever specialist who had been credited with treating over 100 patients while he was in charge of the country's Ebola outbreak that had killed more than 670 people in West Africa before succumbing to the virus himself, and who was also recognized as a "national hero" by Sierra Leone's Health Ministry earlier in July 2014.
