Summary: director of St. Joseph's Catholic Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia who had been a member of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God for 23 years, but who reportedly contracted the Ebola virus strain in late July 2014 just two weeks after testing negative for the illness during West Africa's Ebola virus outbreak that has killed nearly 900 people across Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone earlier this year, in which the Roman Catholic hospital is currently closed as five other religious brothers with the virus have been quarantined, including two members of the Order of St. John of God and three Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, but the hospital's administrator (who is originally from Ghana) also remains under observation.
