Summary: deputy security minister in the Ministry of Public Security in the government of North Korea from 2011 until 2014 who was reportedly among approximately 100 or so lower-ranking party officials who were recently accused of turning the state department into a "personal protection squad" for the country's leader Kim Jong-un's influential uncle Jang Song Thaek, whom he was himself executed by firing squad in December 2013 after being found guilty of various corruption charges.
