Summary: U.S. Army non-commissioned officer who had held the rank of Sergeant Major and played a crucial role into the successful rescue of former POW Jessica Lynch from an Iraqi hospital in 2003 after he had personally handed Lynch to another soldier to transfer her to the helicopter that evacuated her from the area, who recently became the top enlisted soldier for the 2nd Battalion unit based in Fort Bliss, Texas and also served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan during his military career.
