Summary: last known survivor of the 1915 SS Eastland ship disaster in the Chicago River that killed 844 people who was 3 years old when she boarded the excursion ship on July 24, 1915 with her mother and father for Western Electric Co.'s annual employee outing to Michigan City, Indiana before the vessel capsized to its port side in an estimated 20 feet of water without setting sail and sank just west of the Clark Street Bridge while still tied to the wharf.
