Summary: retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police corporal and dog handler who was among one of the first police officers to respond on the scene of the beheading of a young man aboard a Greyhound bus on a Manitoba highway in 2008, who had already seen almost two decades of horrific crimes when he witnessed the grisly scene on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Winnipeg, where Greyhound bus passenger Tim McLean was stabbed, mutilated and beheaded by fellow passenger Vince Li (he was later found not criminally responsible because of mental illness), but who had recently retired from the RCMP and had been on medical leave since October 2013 after suffering from the crippling effects of post-traumatic stress disorder for many years.
