Summary: Scottish swimmer who had won an Olympic bronze medal in the 200-meter breaststroke event at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland and became the first Scottish Commonwealth Games gold medalist, and who was also inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
