Summary: Irish activist and founding director of the Aislinn Centre support and education group for survivors of industrial abuse at Industrial Schools in Ireland who was the main subject of the 1996 RTE drama documentary Dear Daughter that gave her account of life as a child in the Goldenbridge orphanage in Dublin, which was run by the Sisters of Mercy and became the first major controversy to highlight institutional child abuse in the Catholic Church.
