Summary: Polish Olympic elite cyclist  who had his best achievements in the 100 km team trial when he won two silver medals at the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics in this event as well as two gold and two bronze medals at the world championships in 1971, 1973, 1975, and 1977, but who was less successful in the individual road race by finishing in 76th and 11th place at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics, respectively, and winning a silver medal at the 1973 UCI Road World Championships.
