Summary: Indian politician and scion of Mysore's former royal family who had served as the leader of the Wadiyar dynasty that ruled the Kingdom of Mysore between 1399 and 1950 becoming the last surviving link to the royal past continuing the age-old tradition of the Dussehra celebrations in the Mysore palace, including the traditional durbar while seated on the golden throne even though the rich scale had suffered as the state government had taken over the public celebrations and the conduct of the Vijaya Dasami, and who was also a two-time member of the Indian Parliament from the Mysore constituency.
