Summary: Mohawk Indian political activist who became the only inmate convicted of murder following the 1971 Attica prison uprising before he was pardoned in 1976 by New York Gov. Hugh Carey and later became a lifelong peace activist as he had recently tried to make a "citizen arrest" of former U.S. president George W. Bush during a public speech in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 2009.
