Summary: culinary student at the Federal University of Santa Maria who had been hospitalized in critical condition at an intensive care unit for nearly two months from serious smoke inhalation-related injuries suffered in the deadly January 27 KISS discotheque nightclub fire that was set off by Brazilian country pop music band Gurizada Fandangueira's pyrotechnics as the blaze reportedly killed more than 235 (and counting) people and also seriously injured over 120 others including her younger sister Ritchieli Pedroso Lucas during a concert held at a party organized by students from six universities and technical courses at the Federal University of Santa Maria becoming one of the most second-deadliest fire disaster in the history of Brazil since 1961, in which the incident bore similarities to the February 2003 fire at The Station nightclub in the U.S. state of Rhode Island because it was a high-casualty fire caused by illegal indoor use of outdoor pyrotechnics.
