Summary: newspaper deliveryman and longtime clerk for the U.S. Postal Service at a mail processing station in the Tottenville neighborhood of Staten Island, New York who was among one of more than 100 persons reported missing and feared dead in the aftermath of the infamous Hurricane Sandy superstorm that killed at least 147 people and caused widespread property damage in the areas in its path throughout the Caribbean region along the coastline of the Mid-Atlantic states in northeastern United States after the storm swept through the Caribbean Sea as a tropical cyclone during the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season and developed into a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph when it made landfall near Atlantic City, New Jersey in late October 2012, in which it was the second-costliest hurricane on record in U.S. history behind Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
