Summary: Iranian-American student activist who was known for her outspoken activism against Iran's Islamic theocracy and championed women's rights in the Middle East, who co-founded the activist group SabzHouston and organized street rallies across the city of Houston, Texas protesting the Iranian government when the 2009 presidential elections were widely denounced as fraudulent and led to protests in Tehran, Iran and other Iranian cities in the "Green Revolution", but who had recently converted to Christianity at a Second Baptist Church last year because she was dismayed at the oppression Islamic theocrats imposed in her home country.
