Summary:
Belgian multimedia and communication technology student at the Karel de Grote University College in Antwerp, Belgium who had been hospitalized in critical condition for nearly a week from severe brain injuries suffered in a tragic August 18 stage collapse when a concert tent and several other structures collapsed in high winds at the open-air Pukkelpop Festival resulting in the deaths of at least four concertgoers and injured more than 140 others after a sudden storm ripped through the popular outdoor music festival near the northern Belgian town of Hasselt during a show performed by the Chicago rock band Smith Westerns in the opening day of the event featuring Eminem, the Foo Fighters, and around 200 other acts, in which the incident came just five days after the Indiana State Fair stage collapse in the United States that killed seven people and sparked debate about regulations in outdoor concert events.
