Summary: retiree who had been reportedly hospitalized in critical condition for less than a month from many internal injuries including a fractured knee cap, broken wrist and cracked ribs she received in the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake that killed at least 166 people and seriously injured over 1,500+ others after the quake threw her to the floor during an apparent fall while she had been ironing at her home at a retirement community centre when the 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck the nation's central Canterbury region on the South Island.
