Summary: retired vice president and the first female board member of the road construction company Tanner Brothers, Inc. in Joplin, Missouri who had been hospitalized in intensive care for more than three months from a brain injury she received in the devastating May 2011 tornado outbreak that struck across Joplin, Missouri and killed more than 150 other people in one of the deadliest tornadoes in U.S. history since 1947.
