Summary: Russian professional ice-hockey player of the Kontinental Hockey League's hockey team Lokomotiv Yaroslavl who was a member of the silver-medal winning Russian U-20 team at the 2005 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and also played for the Russia's men national ice hockey team on the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 Euro Hockey Tours, but who had suffered from burns to over 90 percent of his body as one of only two sole survivors of the September 7 airplane accident that killed 43 team players, coaching staff, and flight crew while on their way to Minsk, Belarus for a season-opening game.
