Summary: German physician and World War II resistance figure who had befriended Hans Leipelt and became a member of the White Rose anti-Nazi group while a student at the University of Munich, but who continued to publish the group's leaflets before she was arrested by the Nazis and sentenced to 12 years in prison after Sophie Scholl was executed along with her brother Hans and another White Rose member Christoph Probst on February 22, 1943.
