Summary: Argentinean police officer with the Argentine National Gendarmerie who had been reportedly hospitalized in critical condition for less than a week from serious injuries he received in the January 12 Haiti earthquake that killed approximately 316,000 people and injured over 250,000 others while he was deployed to the UN Stabilisation Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) where he had been training Haitian National Police on scientific methods for nine months as one of the 600-member Argentine peacekeeping force, which operated an infantry battalion, a field hospital and 2 helicopters when the 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck the Caribbean island.
