Summary:
Haitian earthquake survivor whose rescue effort was captured on camera in a CNN story throughout international media of the day when she was pulled alive from the rubble of her Port-au-Prince home in an hours-long rescue effort (her right leg had been crushed and pinned by a large piece of metal for two days) and was among one of scores trapped beneath buildings that collapsed in the January 12 7.0-magnitude earthquake, which killed nearly 230,000 people and injured 300,000 others, in one of many miraculous rescues since the quake left the entire city blocks in ruins.
