Summary: volunteer and former chairman of the board at Union Settlement Association in East Harlem, New York who was among one of 230 passengers and crew members reported missing and feared dead in fiery crash of TWA Flight 800 when the ill-fated Boeing 747 jumbo jet mysteriously exploded in mid-air and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the southeastern coast of Long Island, New York shortly after takeoff from New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport while she and her husband Edwin Brooks were flying to Paris in what was supposed to be a three-week tour through France to celebrate her 80th birthday.
