Summary: honors student at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana who was among one of 230 passengers and crew members reported missing and feared dead in the fiery crash of TWA Flight 800 when the ill-fated Boeing 747 jumbo jet mysteriously exploded in mid-air and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the southeast coast of Long Island, New York shortly after takeoff from New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport while she and her older sister Kimberly Kwiat were headed off on a backpacking trip across Europe.
