Summary: retired vice president of the private Springfield, Virginia-based editing firm Eleanor Johnson Ltd. who was among one of several passengers and crew members reported missing and presumed dead in the ill-fated Boeing 747 commercial airliner TWA Flight 800 after the jumbo jet mysteriously exploded in mid-air and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean shortly after takeoff, in which at least 193 passengers and crew members were confirmed dead and approximately 40 others remained missing while she was traveling to Paris, France along with her husband Leonard Johnson prior to his attending a NATO logistics conference in Brussels, Belgium as a longtime U.S. Army civilian mechanical engineer.
