Summary: anesthesiologist and former vice president of medical affairs at St. Clair Hospital in the Pittsburgh suburb of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania who was one of the doctors who developed the well known Freedom House Ambulance Service, which later evolved into Emergency Medical Services at the Presbyterian University Hospital in Oakland in the early 1970's, who was an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh for several years and co-wrote the book The Health Care Manager's Guide Book to Continuous Quality Improvement, which was written for and published by the American Hospital Association, who was an expert on health care quality and continued to consult and lecture nationally after her retirement from hospital work in 1993.
