Summary: student at William Ruffner Junior High School in Virginia who along with her friend Tammy Akers were reported missing since February 7, 1977 when they were last seen hitchhiking in the city after they were dropped off at their Roanoke junior high school but had neither been heard from again since then, in which investigators believed that a known pedophile identified as Earl Conrad Bramblett was a known associate of the girls' families and became the prime suspect at the time they mysteriously vanished, but had denied any involvement in their disappearances and it became one of the nation's most infamous unsolved cases in modern Virginia history.
