Entry: a vegetable with a pulpy, seed-rich body which grows on a vine. Examples include eggplants, peppers, squashes, tomatoes, zucchini which, while technically fruits, are used as vegetables; they are higher in calories than leafy vegetables, and rich in vitamin C.
